Waris Singh Ahluwalia is the designer behind the luxury jewelry brand House of Waris. He is also the talent behind many other star-studded creative endeavors and an acclaimed actor who has starred in such films as Wes Anderson's "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou" and Spike Lee's "Inside Man."

Animal Tchotchkes, 2007

These are animal tchotchkes Ahluwalia has collected on his travels. They serve as visual cues to remind him of his duty to mother nature. "I was in my twenties when I realized that the animal kingdom represented the more noble of the species," he says. "There is far greater beauty in nature than anything man can create. True luxury exists only in the natural world."

"Once" by Wim Wenders, 2007

This collection of photographic essays by the filmmaker Wim Wenders was given to Ahluwalia "by a person that was once the center of my life." Of the volume, he says, "It's a most beautiful book of moments."

This is Ahluwalia's framed drawing of the adage "Love Conquers All," written in Latin, a reference to Virgil's "The Ecologues." "This was written as you see it by my wonderous art director, Eric Adolfsen," Ahluwalia says. "It's my motto. It's our company's motto."

"To India With Love," 2009

This is a book that Ahluwalia created with his friends Mortimer Singer and Tina Bajwani to raise funds for the victims of the terrorist attack in Bombay in 2008. In it, the authors' friends share what they love about "the magical world of India." "When New York was hurt, the world responded with love and kindness," he says. "It was simply our turn to send that love on."
