No 11 - JOSEPH HEIDECKER

Heidecker applies his signature embroidery to a 1950s pin-up weightlifter. Handprinted from a vintage negative and individually handsewn (each piece is stitched by hand) with antique gold and silver metallic thread, no two pieces are the same. Joseph Heidecker's work can be found in the personal collections of both Brad Pitt and photographer Cindy Sherman, whose recent home tour by Architectural Digest featured Heidecker's eye-catching decoupaged furniture.
