No 27 - STEFAN RUIZ
A striking and delightfully idiosyncratic book of photographs of Bolivia by the photographers Stefan Ruiz and Rodolfo Quiroga Bravo, exclusively published by Whisper. Ruiz, a prominent fine art and commercial photographer whose work has appeared in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and L’Uomo Vogue, here presents his gorgeous and previously unseen landscape study of Bolivia, which includes urban and wilderness vistas alike. Ruiz interspersed his images with those of Rodolfo Quiroga Bravo, a local photographer to whom Bolivians turn for family portraits. Linked by geographic location and an uncannily similar color palate, the two sets of images, taken together, represent both a beautifully wide-angle and moving human portrait of a country.
