An exclusive print of an exquisite still life by Alice Gao, the renowned lifestyle photographer. Gao collaborated with the florist Kristen Ossmann of Pretty Street Botanicals to create the image for Whisper — a single peony resting on a mantle, composed with the artful arrangement that has attracted over 700,000 followers to Gao’s Instagram feed. Originally, Gao and Ossmann intended to photograph a full arrangement of specially grown flowers. In the process of capturing the arrangement, Ossmann removed this single peony because it was so beautiful, it was overshadowing the others. Once removed from the bouquet, Gao decided to photograph it alone. It was, Gao explains, “a happy accident.” Read more about Gao on Whisper's blog, The Hourglass.
